Jinger Duggar’s Dad Makes A Shocking Request To Jeremy Vuolo In ‘Counting On’ Sneak Peek

Jinger Duggar is ready to take a big step in her relationship with Jeremy Vuolo on “Counting On.” The reality star can be seen preparing to meet her potential future in-laws in a sneak-peek video of Season 2, episode 4, but it doesn’t appear things go quite so well for Jeremy Vuolo during the meet-and-greet when her dad, Jim Bob Duggar, makes a special request.

In a video released to TLC viewers Thursday night, Jinger, 22, attempts to pack her suitcase ahead of her first trip to Laredo, Texas. After three weeks of being in an official courtship with Jeremy, she says it is time to leave Arkansas with her parents to meet his mother and father, who are flying in from Pennsylvania for the event.

While Jinger reveals she has spoken to Jeremy’s parents on FaceTime, she admits she’s anxious about meeting them face-to-face. “This is my first time to meet Jeremy’s parents in person. I definitely am nervous. I think that first impressions are always important,” she says.

Jinger’s sister, Jessa Seewald, tells the cameras her sibling is so nervous for the trip, she had to help her pack. “It is super hard to know what to pack when you’re going on a trip and just thinking your meeting your in-laws for the first time, you’re going to see your fella, what do you take? I don’t know! I packed everything,” Jinger explains.

In Texas, Jeremy shares he’s looking forward to his parents, Diana and Charles Vuolo, meeting Jinger and her family, but like his girlfriend, is also nervous for the impending visit. “I’m really excited for Jinger to meet my parents. I’m excited really just to get some time alone with them where Jinger and I can talk to them, maybe get some counsel, wisdom from them. It is still a little nerve-wracking with everybody coming into town to see where I live and everything,” Jeremy says.

While the sneak peek ends with a shot of Jinger, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar arriving at the airport in Texas, several clips for the rest of the installment tease some tension. The preview shows Jinger and Jeremy looking at rings and Jim Bob telling them not to “get any ideas.” When the two families sit down to enjoy a meal together, Jim Bob also makes it clear he doesn’t want his daughter to leave Arkansas in favor of Laredo, where Jeremy works as a pastor, if they do decide to get married. (It looks like Jim Bob lost that fight!) Jeremy tells the cameras he felt put on the spot in that moment.

The rest of the preview shows that the other Duggars will be busy back in Arkansas. Joy-Anna, Jedidiah and Jeremiah Duggar will be having a high school graduation party. Joy will also get a flight lesson from her brother John David.
