Singer Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is taking a step back from his child star singing style and delving into the world and demands of being a solo artist.

His debut solo album Fastlife comes out on Oct. 11, 2011.

My primary concern was the fans' understanding that it wasn't the end of the Jonas Brothers, he said, the Philippine Star reported. It was just time that we're taking and that I was just focusing on this project for the time being.
