John Cena Shares Inspirational Post After Nikki Bella Takes Jab At Relationship
After a heartbreaking split with Nikki Bella, it appears John Cena is trying to put on a brave face amid his ex’s comments about their failed relationship. The wrestler took to Twitter to share some inspirational words with his fans after the “Total Divas” star appeared to take a jab at their romance.
Bella and Cena initially split weeks ahead of their scheduled spring wedding date, almost one year after the WWE star proposed to his longtime love at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017. Although the relationship was briefly on and off for a few months, the two broke up for good over the summer.
On Monday, Cena shared an encouraging message on Twitter after Bella spoke about their relationship during an interview. “Do good work. Stay true to your values and what you believe in. Be patient. Know that you will fail. Get back up. Be accountable for your actions. Embrace the uncomfortable. Never give up,” the star wrote.
Cena’s quote comes after Bella’s nonchalant attitude when she revealed the two haven’t spoken or texted one another since they officially parted ways in July. “He’s doing him and I’m doing me,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
Since cutting ties with Cena, Bella revealed she is “slowly” working on herself. “I think it’s happiness, and just fully being happy and that’s what I want.”
Although she wants to achieve happiness, the 34-year-old admitted the journey to reach her goal hasn’t been a comfortable experience. “Is it scary and you do have these moments of like, ‘What am I doing?’ -- and fear. I just kind of am liking the challenge,” she shared.
However, Bella appears content with the decision to end her six-year relationship and is looking forward to learning more about herself without a partner by her side. “ I just feel like I’m at that age where I’m discovering who I really am and what I want out of life and just, like, independence,” she explained.
Fans who are interested in how Bella is adjusting to life after her break-up can watch her embrace her newly single status on “Total Divas” Season 8, which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on E!
