Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Are Engaged, Sources Confirm They Are 'Excited To Share The Rest Of Their Lives Together'

Johnny Depp and his girlfriend of one year, actress Amber Heard, are engaged, sources confirmed Friday.

A couple of days back, Heard was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger, which sparked the engagement rumor.

A source close to the couple reportedly told People magazine that the star and his girlfriend were engaged, but the actress only has disclosed the news to “close friends.”

“Of course they couldn’t be happier to be engaged and excited to share the rest of their lives together,” the source reportedly said. “Amber has really taken well to the kids and really enjoys spending time with them. And she’s even taken Lily shopping on her own for some bonding time.”

Another source close to the family told Celebuzz: “It happened on Christmas Eve.” The source added: “Amber really took her time to make up her mind.”

According to reports, the 27-year-old actress had turned down Depp’s proposal earlier as she had been in a four-year relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree and was hesitated to take such a life-changing decision so fast.

The 50-year-old “Public Enemies” actor met Heard on the sets of their movie “The Rum Diary.” They later confirmed their relationship in June 2012, shortly after his split with Vanessa Paradis, girlfriend of 14 years, with whom he has two children, Lily-Rose and Jack.
