Jordan Fisher Expecting First Child With Ellie Woods: ‘We Can’t Wait To Meet You’

Jordan Fisher has another reason to be merry this holiday season as he announced his wife’s pregnancy with an emotional video shared on his Instagram page.

The 27-year-old actor, who is currently starring in “Dear Evan Hansen” on Broadway, announced he is going to be a father to a baby boy with wife Ellie Woods in a short clip on Instagram which he simply captioned, “And the journey begins…we can’t wait to meet you _ .”

The video begins with Woods asking Fisher to close his eyes as she helps him put on a letterman jacket with the word “Papa” written on it.

“Now do me a favor and put your hands in your pocket,” Woods tells her husband. Fisher does so and begins to cry as he feels the pregnancy test inside his pocket. The video continues with an emotional Woods showing the “pregnant” sign on the test kit and the reactions of the couple’s parents and a friend when the baby’s sex is revealed through a bite of a cupcake. “It’s a boy!” one of the couple’s parents screams after taking a bite of the dessert and seeing the blue filling inside.

Woods also shared on her Instagram story, a picture of her baby’s sonogram and a cute photo of her and Fisher snuggled on the couch. “@jordanfisher Favorite 1st trimester pic. Jordan has been so supportive through this journey. He is gonna make the best papa,” she wrote.

The expecting mother also added a photo of them doing a nose rub as she held the ultrasound image, and wrote, “Thank you all so much for the love. We are on cloud nine and so grateful for all the joy.”

The couple’s celebrity friends took to the comments section to congratulate the couple.

“Ahhhhhhhh congratulations!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️ beyond happy for you both,” Lana Candor, his co-star on Netflix's "To All The Boys 2", wrote.

“I. AM. SOBBING. CONGRATULATIONS GUYS,” actor Sarah Hyland added.

“ OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG ITS A BOY OMG!!!!” singer Jojo commented.

Fisher and Woods announced their engagement in May 2019 and got married in November 2020 after previously having to postpone their nuptials due to the pandemic.

Last month, Fisher celebrated his first anniversary as a married couple with Woods by sharing a throwback photo of the two in their wedding attire. "9 years of friendship…4 years of dating…1 year of marriage. i love you so much, ellie fisher. thank you for being my person," he wrote.
