Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one busy actor, but he managed to find some time to appear on “Sesame Street.” The actor- director-writer appeared on the children’s show in a segment with Murray and taught kids a new word in the process.

Gordon-Levitt visited “Sesame Street” to teach kids a new word, reinforce. Murray the puppet does not know what it means, but Gordon-Levitt, who is called Joe in the segment, does and explains it to Murray, as well as the children at home.

It’s easy to sum up the word’s meaning but Gordon-Levitt goes above and beyond, providing some fun visual explanations. A simple definition would be no fun, and certainly wouldn’t fit within the world of “Sesame Street,” so Gordon-Levitt uses a simple experiment, using Murray, a hammer and his watch, to help children understand the meaning of the word.

Naturally Gordon-Levitt loves his watch, his grandmother gave it to him, after all, and he wouldn’t let Murray take a hammer to it without several layers of protection as well as a box to ensure the item’s safety. It’s a cute segment that plays out as you'd expect, and Gordon-Levitt seems to be enjoying himself.

Chances are you will be seeing plenty of Gordon-Levitt in 2013.

After a stellar 2012, when Gordon-Levitt starred in “Looper” and “The Dark Knight Rises” and had a supporting role in "Lincoln," the 31-year-old actor made a splash at this Sundance with the premiere of “Don Jon’s Addiction.” Gordon-Levitt, directed, wrote and starred in the film, which also features Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and Tony Danza. Relativity Media purchased the American rights to “Don Jon’s Addiction” for $4 million, one of the biggest deals from Sundance, notes The Hollywood Reporter. Gordon-Levitt will also star in “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” which is currently filming.
