Former "19 Kids and Counting" star Josh Duggar was arrested by federal agents Thursday, just days after his wife Anna announced that they are expecting their seventh child, reports say.
Duggar was booked into jail in Washington County, Arkansas, where he is currently being held without bail, TMZ reported, citing unnamed law enforcement sources. No other details about his charges are currently available online.
In the mugshot of the 33-year-old reality TV personality from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Duggar looked slightly disheveled and had a smirk on his face.
In 2019, TMZ reported that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents "were crawling around" the Springdale, Arkansas, dealership where Duggar works and raided his office in connection to a federal investigation. Another report alleged that HSI also raided the Duggar family's home in Tontitown, Arkansas.
An HSI spokesperson allegedly told KNWA that agents were present at the residence "pursuant to an ongoing federal criminal investigation." But a rep for the family told Us Weekly at the time that it was "not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind."
Duggar's only known legal dispute is a civil lawsuit filed against him for real estate fraud, TMZ noted.
The eldest son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar rose to fame on TLC's "19 Kids and Counting." The show was canceled in 2015 after allegations surfaced that Duggar had molested multiple underage girls when he was a teenager.
He issued an apology and was never charged.
Meanwhile, Duggar's arrest came just days after his wife Anna shared a gender reveal video on Instagram to announce that they are expecting another child. In the clip, the couple is standing in a field under a clear umbrella that showers them with pink confetti when he opens it. Their six children then start running toward the camera behind them.
"It's a GIRL!!!!! We are overjoyed to announce baby seven is on the way and we can’t wait to hold her in our arms this fall!" Anna wrote in the caption.
Duggar and his wife have been married 13 years and share kids Mackynzie, 11; Michael, 9; Marcus, 7; Meredith, 5; Mason, 3; and 17-month-old Maryella.
