Actor Josh Duhamel, who is currently filming his most-awaited action-comedy "Shotgun Wedding" with Jennifer Lopez in the Dominican Republic, revealed a scary encounter with the ocean.

The 48-year-old actor appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Wednesday, and before he shared a video clip of the incident, he explained, "The waves were crashing like 30 feet in the air."

"This rogue wave comes up as I'm videotaping this thing and literally washed me almost over the edge of this cliff," he recalled. "It turned me into hamburger on many parts of my body afterwards."

"I never told anybody. You're the first person I showed that to, because if I had showed that to Lionsgate they probably would have kicked me off the movie," the actor said after showing the clip.

The actor noted it was one of the near-death experiences in his life. The 46-year-old host responded while laughing he is only laughing now because he knows that Duhamel is out of danger. Duhamel also joked how it is unbelievable that his "phone survived that."

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Duhamel also reflected on working with Lopez, "It was one of the most fun experiences I've had shooting, or working in this business."

"First of all, we're in the Dominican Republic, which is absolutely beautiful. Jen was a dream to work with, she's an absolute pro and totally engaged and loved the project," he added.

Duhamel further noted he and Lopez share a "great relationship" and how he has "known her forever so it was easy for us to get in lock and step."

The actor also praised the crew and cast members including the director, Jason Moore, and said, "it was one of those situations that everything kind of fit perfectly. I'm very proud of the way it turned out and I can't wait for it all to come together."

"Shotgun Wedding" revolves around a couple's destination wedding that gets hijacked by criminals. The screenplay is penned by Mark Hammer and Elizabeth Meriwether.

The adventure comedy is slated to release on June 29, 2022.
