Joy-Anna Duggar Could Be Lying About Her Baby’s Due Date, Says Doctor
Joy-Anna Duggar’s husband recently dropped a huge hint regarding his wife’s due date. After posting an pregnancy update for the “Counting On” star on Instagram on Monday, Austin Forsyth revealed the size of he and his better half’s unborn child, therefore sharing that they should be expecting their first baby as early as February 2018.
“Can’t wait to meet our baby,” Austin wrote on his and Joy’s shared account. “I got to feel it kick for the first time a few days ago!!! Soooooo amazing!!! It’s already about the size of a bell pepper and weighs around half a pound,” he added.
Eagle eyes fans spotted the size comment and figured out that would mean Joy is 18 weeks along in her pregnancy, though some aren’t convinced the pair is telling the truth. The size of Joy-Anna’s bump has some TLC fans wondering if she may be farther along in their pregnancy than the Duggar family is letting on.
Speaking to Radar Online, Dr. Sean Henry, who has not created Joy-Anna, shared his expert opinion, stating he thinks the 19-year-old is appears to be more than 20 weeks along. “She looks about 24-26 weeks pregnant,” Dr. Henry, an OBGYN, said. “She looks bigger than 20 weeks.”
The professional also added that though it is possible Joy and Austin have felt their baby kick, most people feel “fetal movement between 19-21 weeks.”
Another doctor, Dr. Stuart Fischer, has also claimed Joy-Anna could be fibbing about her due date. After announcing the pregnancy with bump photos on Aug. 30, the medical professional commented to Radar Online that she appeared to be “four to five months pregnant.”
Joy and Austin wed on May 26, which means if the Duggars are lying about how far along she is in her pregnancy, the couple may have broken their strict courtship and engagement rules. The Duggars are well-known for saving sex and their first kiss for their wedding day. Of course, Joy and Austin have already admitted to bending their courtship rules slightly.
After proposing to Joy in March, an episode of “Counting On” showed the pair getting awfully close post-engagement. During the “Counting On” mid-season reunion in July, Joy admitted she did not see the cameras were filming them during their special moment.
“I didn’t even notice that they were there. I thought it was just there, and that was really special,” she said. Austin then went on to explain why they broke the courtship, side-hug rule in the moment.
“We’re human and sometimes we don’t always abide perfectly by our rules,” he said. “We try. That was a real hard try.”
The couple also teased how excited they were to sleep together on the last episode of the TLC series. A promo for Season 3, episode 4, showed Joy and Austin on their bachelor/bachelorette party camping trip talking about post-wedding life.
“In a couple weeks it is really cool to think that we won’t have to sleep in separate hammocks,” Joy said in front of the camera with a big smile on her face.
