Joy-Anna Duggar Makes Jana Cry In ‘Counting On’ Sneak Peek [VIDEO]
Joy-Anna Duggar will continue her wedding planning on the next installment of “Counting On” and though it may be a happy affair, the outing will result in some serious tears.
A sneak peek of Monday’s Season 3 installment of the TLC series (posted above) show Joy-Anna’s eldest sister and bridesmaid, Jana Duggar, breaking down after her sister tries on wedding gowns.
With 25 days until her wedding day with Austin Forsyth, the promo video shows Joy, her mother and the rest of her bridal party heading to visit Renee’s Bridal shop in Kentucky to go dress shopping.
“I’m going to get in there, get my dress and get out,” Joy says of her plan. Several clips then show her trying on various wedding gowns but not favoring any of them. “So far it’s harder than I thought it would be to pick out a dress,” Joy says.
The shopping trip turns emotional when Joy’s mother, Michelle Duggar, tells her soon-to-be married daughter she’s happy for her. What follows are clips of Joy and her sisters Jana, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Vuolo, and Josie Duggar wiping away tears. “I wasn’t gonna cry!” Joy says.
“This is such a happy and sad transition,” fellow sister and bridesmaid Jessa Seewald explains. “It was really difficult.”
According to TLC’s synopsis, the tears may also be because of some tough decisions had to be made. The networks summary for “Finding Joy’s dress” states the bride-to-be will search for the “perfect wedding dress” but she “faces some big decisions when there are so many options.”
“Joy does not enjoy shopping so I figured it would be the same with wedding dresses,” Jinger tells the cameras.
Elsewhere in episode 3, the Duggar boys will spending some quality time together. Before marrying Joy -- the pair wed in May and are expecting their first baby soon -- Austin will spend “bonding time” with his future brother-in-law Joe Duggar, who just started his courtship with girlfriend Kendra Caldwell (now wife) on the show. The duo will also spend time with their “future father-in-laws.”
While some of the male family members bond with their in-laws, Ben Seewald will spend time with his and wife Jessa’s two sons while she’s out of town helping Joy pick out her dress. “I thought it would be good to take Henry and Spurgeon to the park,” Ben says in the sneak peek, though it doesn’t appear the outing goes as planned. One scene shows little Spurgeon crying on the floor and falling down a slide.
“Definitely gives me lots of respect for Jessa,” Ben admits.
Jill and Derick Dillard, though, still away on their overseas mission trip in Central America, will also be a part of the installment. Episode 3 will see them celebrate their son Israel’s second birthday.
Duggar fans can watch Season 3, episode 3 of “Counting On,” titled “Finding Joy’s Dress,” Monday, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.
