Joy-Anna Duggar Hints At Engagement, Teases She Could Marry Boyfriend Austin Forsyth This Year

Wedding bells could be in the near future for “Counting On” stars Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth. As Season 3 of the family’s TLC reality series heats up, apparently so is Joy and Austin’s relationship.

Speaking to People Magazine, the 19-year-old teased the idea that she and her her boyfriend could be taking their courtship of two months to the next level in the coming year.

“I’m excited to see what God has in store for us in the next year,” Joy told the publication, saying it was ultimately up to Austin, 23, to make the next move.

“I’m not sure when the next step will come. You would have to ask Austin what he’s thinking and my dad,” she said when asked about marriage plans.

While it’s unclear if Joy will be the next Duggar to walk down the aisle, she shared that she’s been enjoying her time with Austin, whom she was friends with almost 15 years before beginning their courtship.

“Showing him how much I appreciate him, it’s been amazing,” she said. “It’s really special that I got to grow up with him and my family knows him really well.”

Austin and Joy announced their relationship in November during the “Counting On” Season 2 finale. Their love story will continue on the reality series, which currently airs Mondays on TLC.
