Joy-Anna Duggar Shares Pregnancy Update And Baby Bump Picture

Joy-Anna Duggar can’t stop talking about her pregnancy and fans of the Duggars are loving it! Soon after announcing she’s a mom-to-be, the “Counting On” star shared a closeup shot of her baby bump and updated her Instagram followers on her baby’s progress.

“Austin and I are SO thankful to announce that we are parents!! Even before we were married we prayed that God would give us children and we are so blessed that he has given us this baby! Jesus is the giver of Life!” Joy wrote on her account, a similar statement to the one she shared in her TLC announcement video.

The 19-year-old went on to reveal how far their baby has progressed in the womb. “The baby has arms, legs, fingers, and toes. It has a beating heart and brain waves,” she wrote. “The baby responds to touch and is already right- or left-handed. The baby has its own unique fingerprints, which are different from anyone else’s. All organ systems are in place!”

In the Instagram update, Joy shared shots from her pregnancy announcement, including an ice-cream bowl labeled “eating for two” and a picture of Austin Forsyth cradling their unborn child. She also posted a new shot of her growing bump. In the photo, Joy’s stomach is on full display and so is a closeup shot of her wedding ring.

Since announcing the pregnancy, members of the Duggar family have come out on social media to express their excitement for their new member.

Parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were the first to issue a congrualtions to their newlywed daughter and son-in-law. On their YouTube channel, the couple expressed joy over welcoming a tenth grandchild. (Josh and Anna Duggar’s upcoming baby is No. 9.)

“It’s the greatest feeling in the world to know that as a couple that God has given you a creation that’s the two of you put together... It’s a lot of responsibility. It changes you life. But Joy and Austin, you guys are going to be great parents,” Jim Bob said.

Fellow married Duggar couples, Jessa and Ben Seewald and Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo, also posted videos on the YouTube channel about the pregnancy news.

“We just cannot wait to meet his little one. Jeremy and I are super excited for both of you guys,” Jinger said on camera. Jeremy added he was also excited about the baby and was “looking forward to meeting the new little one on the way.”

Joy’s sister Jessa, who has two children, warned her sibling that children are hard work but said it is all worth it. “Kids are such a blessing and a joy. A lot of work, definitely, but a lot of fun,” she said. “We’re super excited to see ya’ll as parents. Ya’ll are going to do a great job.”

It’s unclear when Joy and Austin are due to expect their little one, though there are some clues her delivery date could be as early as February 2018. Until now, Joy and Austin are just planning for parenthood and predicting their baby’s gender.

“There’s kind of been a trend with having boys in the family. I think we’re going to break it and have a girl,” Austin told TLC. However, after welcoming a several nephews, Joy thinks she’ll have a boy.
