Julianne Hough, Brooks Laich Split: 5 Hints Couple’s Marriage Was Doomed

Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich's marriage may have been doomed months before they announced their separation.

Hough and Brooks just announced that they decided to split three years after tying the knot. However, many were not surprised with their announcement because there were a lot of hints in the past months suggesting that their marriage had hit the rock bottom, E! News reported.

Couple has been spending time apart

Back in January an insider shared that the were keeping distance from each other. It was reportedly due to their work commitments, but it somehow affected their relationship

"She's been very private about this time in her life and is not making any kind of official announcement. She is honoring her work commitments, as is he, and it's kept them apart. But things have definitely changed in their relationship,” the source said.

Quarantining apart

Most couples are quarantining together but not Hough and Laich. Hough is in Los Angeles while Laich is in Idaho.

Laich told iHeartRadio's "How Men Think" podcast that he wanted to spend enough time in the property he bought in 2014 because it needed an overhaul and cleaning.

No recent photos on social media

Hough and Laich continue to comment on each other’s posts on social media. However, neither of them shared a recent photo of them together on Instagram in 2020.

Couple still exploring their sexuality

In a previous interview with How Men Think podcast, Laich shared that “a big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality.” He also stressed that it didn't mean if he was gay or straight.

“And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight,” he added. “I mean, like, in my sexual relationship. What is my sexuality? What am I craving, what are my desires and what are my wife’s? And how could we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything.”

According to Laich, Hough is also exploring like him. And he admitted that what he found was a “beautiful new side.”

“I've discovered this and... through doing this show and also through my wife, who's exploring this as well, and shared a lot of this with me and has perked my interest in it,” he added. “I've been exposed to a beautiful new side of life that I never, ever explored or thought to explore before and it's amazing.”

Couple had a non-conventional relationship

An insider shared that Hough and Laich had a non-conventional relationship for quite a while. Although they never aired their grievances for each other on public they had issues, but opted to deal with it privately.

Another insider told Us Weekly that they have different viewpoints on important issues. The source also said that “there’s still a love there, but not in a romantic sense.”
