Justin Bieber, who tied the knot with Hailey Baldwin last year, has revealed that he was really anxious before getting married and asked a lot of questions about whether he was ready to take all the responsibilities that come with married life.
Speaking in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the 25-year-old musician opened up about how nervous he got before the marriage and started to ask a lot of questions to himself about whether he was ready for the married life or not. But then he overcame all his fears by putting his faith in God.
He further said that getting married is a big “commitment” and noted that he never got to see an example of married life because his parents were never married to each other. Thus, he had a lot of doubts in his mind and continuously asked himself if he was even ready to make such a big change to his life.
“My parents were never married, so I never had that. I never got to see what that really looked like. I am like, ‘Can I even do this? Do I even know what it looks like to do this?’ I just felt like God was saying, ‘I will show you how to do it. Just trust.’ I just trusted him, and committed to her,” Bieber said.
Justin and his wife officially tied the knot for the second time in front of their loved ones in South Carolina last year. The pair exchanged vows in front of family and friends during their second wedding ceremony inside the Somerset Chapel at the Montage Hotel’s Palmetto Bluff.
The wedding ceremony was performed just a year after the duo secretly tied the knot in New York. The couple decided to perform the nuptials again because they wanted to celebrate their love in front of the people they love.
Recently, the acclaimed singer also explained how he became really “dependent” on drugs at such a young age. “It was just an escape for me. I was young. My experience was in front of cameras and I had a different level of exposure,” Bieber said.
After going through a lot and feeling that he has started to value the wrong things, the “Sorry” singer decided to change himself and get sober because his addiction was getting really “serious.” He started praying and hoped that God would do everything to take him out of this situation because he was “dying” inside.
In related news, Bieber is riding high on the success of his fifth studio album, “Changes.” This is Bieber’s first studio album in five years.
