Kanye West seems to be getting ready for Halloween as he was spotted wearing a creepy-looking mask during a recent outing.

The "Gold Digger" rapper was photographed sporting a prosthetic mask of what seemed to be a Caucasian woman for his cab ride from JFK airport in New York Monday. The mask appeared to have eye shadow.

In the pictures obtained by Page Six, West was wearing an all-black Balenciaga getup, with his outfit comprising a leather jacket, acid-wash jeans and a pair of calf-high boots. He also carried a crossbody bag and wore a black glove in one hand and a hat reading "Friendship," which he apparently got from the Berlin Atonal festival.

Prior to donning the prosthetic mask, West, 44, had been photographed wearing a standard-issue pandemic-compliant cloth mask and a pair of headphones.

The outlet noted that this was the second time in as many days that Kim Kardashian's estranged husband had been spotted with a Halloween-ready look.

West was also photographed sporting a disturbing pale greenish-blue mask in Venice, Italy, Sunday. At the time, the Yeezy designer was wearing the same Balenciaga outfit that he was seen sporting at JFK airport.

West's love for wearing masks dates back at least to his 2013 "Yeezus" tour, the outlet noted. He was also seen sporting a religious-themed face-covering in California in May and a full-face mask featuring the Harley-Davidson logo when he attended a Balenciaga show in July.

Meanwhile, a Los Angeles judge on Monday approved the request of the rapper to legally change his name from Kanye Omari West to just Ye, with no middle or last name. In his filing, West said he was making the change for "personal reasons," Deadline reported.

In June 2018, he released an eighth studio album titled "Ye," and since then, "Ye" has been his Twitter handle. In that same year, the "Donda" artist explained to radio host Big Boy his position about the word "ye" and why it was significant to him.

"I believe 'ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible, it means 'you,'" West was quoted by the BBC as saying. "So I'm you, I'm us, it's us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye - just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, everything."

Merriam Webster agrees and adds that it's the plural form of "you," not singular, and "now used especially in ecclesiastical or literary language." The second description is the more familiar use of the word as an archaic form of "the," as in "Ye olde abbey."
