Karlie Kloss Reveals She's 'Tried' To Talk To Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner About Election
KEY POINTS
- Karlie Kloss "tried" to tell Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner that those who refuse to accept the election result are "anti-American"
- The model condemned the protesters who stormed the Capitol
- Kloss has been vocal about not sharing the same political beliefs as her extended family
Karlie Kloss has revealed that she has attempted to talk to brother-in-law Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump about the results of the presidential election after she condemned pro-Trump protesters who stormed the Capitol.
Kloss, who is married to Jared's brother Joshua Kushner, took to Twitter Wednesday to lambast the "anti-American" individuals who marched on the Capitol in a bid to overturn the outcome of the election. The protesters stormed the building on the day Congress was supposed to confirm President-elect Joe Biden's victory.
“Accepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic. Refusing to do so and inciting violence is anti-American,” the model wrote on Twitter.
However, one commenter instructed Kloss to “tell your in-laws that,” referring to Ivanka and Jared. The 28-year-old replied with a short but telling, “I’ve tried.”
Despite being the sister-in-law of the Trump advisors, Kloss has made it clear that she does not share the same political beliefs as her extended family and has been vocal about her support of Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Last year, she shared a photo of herself with her ballot while sporting a “Biden Harris” mask.
“What’s your voting plan? This was mine — signed, sealed, (notarized), and delivered #voteBLUE #scienceoverfiction,” Kloss captioned the snap.
When they won the election, she posted a picture of them on Instagram with the caption, "President-elect Joe Biden, and MADAM Vice President-elect Kamala Harris."
This comes a month after it was reported that Ivanka and Jared bought a $30 million lot on Florida's Indian Creek Island, otherwise known as the Billionaire’s Bunker. Lot 4 spans 1.84 acres and was listed at $31.8 million.
Affluent Miami parents are allegedly curious about which school the couple plans to send their kids to when they move to the area, which is said to be one of the most secure places in Florida. However, locals believe that the move will not happen anytime soon.
“The thing is, they bought a plot of land and building a mansion on Indian Creek is no small job — the houses are enormous. How long does it take to build a house from scratch? So who knows when they’d actually be in that house,” a source told Page Six.
