Kate Hudson Recalls The Time She Had Back-To-Back Dates On The Same Night
Kate Hudson has had some fun dating while she was a single woman, and recalled the time where she wound up one date, just to go to another one in the same night.
During a game of "Truth or Drink" for her craft vodka line, King St. Vodka, the actor asked her Instagram followers about their most embarrassing stories about dating, before proceeding to share one of her own stories.
The "Bride Wars" star, who is currently engaged to musician Danny Fujikawa, said there was one time where she had a rather eventful and unexpected evening, but it wasn't embarrassing, per se, according to People.
Hudson had two back-to-back dates in the same night, but it's not something she's ashamed of. "I wasn't embarrassed, I just went from one date to another date on the same date," said Hudson, 42, while trying to hold back her laughter. "I showed up with one date, and I left with another."
Funnily enough, actor and former professional wrestler Dave Bautista left a comment on Hudson's post saying that she had told him that she had a “family emergency” at that time.
Several people then went on to share their worst date experiences, and one user shared: "High school, Valentine’s Day night. I invited my bf over to watch a movie. He asked to use the bathroom…..and managed to clog the toilet with his massive poo, couldn’t plunge the evidence away, and proceeded to overflow the toilet. I broke up with him that night."
"Waiter asked if I wanted fresh ground pepper. Said sure! Went down the wrong pipe. And I literally ran to the bathroom gagging, sneezing, coughing, tears running down my cheeks and once I settled, I had a laughing fit. I could not stop laughing bc I looked like someone punched me in the face- I was so swollen and my makeup was GONE. So yeah- took about 10 min to come back to (the) table and my date just asked if everything was ok," another person added.
But, not all comments were embarrassing, some of them were very heartwarming, too. One user mentioned she had an experience quite similar to Hudson's but that's how she met her husband. "Funny you should mention that. That’s how I met my husband. Showed up on a first date, was introduced to my husband and he ended up driving me home. 26 years later we are still married," she shared.
Hudson began dating 35-year-old Fujikawa in 2016, and the two announced their engagement in September 2021.
