Kate Middleton Channels Princess Diana With Family Photos In This Way
Kate Middleton takes adorable photos of her three children and her family, but she is not the first member of the British clan to do this.
Several years ago, Princess Diana also did a similar thing when she’s out with her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Frederica Miller, a journalist for Express, said that some of the photos shot by the late Princess of Wales were taken in intimate settings.
These days, the photos taken by Princess Diana are being compared to the snaps taken by the Duchess of Cambridge. For instance, there was one photo of Princess Diana with her two sons and all three of them look extremely happy.
The photo belonged to Princess Diana’s former nanny, Mary Bruce, and it remained hidden in a box alongside the nanny’s other personal keepsakes. The photo emerged in 2007 after Isabella Paton’s son, Norie, decided to sell them.
“Diana has been pictured so many times, but these are special. Mary was a family friend for many years and I first saw the pictures when I was visiting my mother’s house in 1989… Mary was there and showed them to us,” Norrie told Mirror.
Years later, Middleton has been taking photos of her sons, and she also shares some of them to the public. Gina Jones, a lead expert in baby photography, said that the Duchess of Cambridge might have been taking her children’s own photos because it is cheaper this way.
“It shows how modern Kate and William are by being more accessible and having a hands-on approach. It also shows that they are resourceful with money as you often see Kate in high street fashion and sometimes repeating outfits and so by taking her own photos, this again shows how she is savvy with money,” she said.
Meanwhile, Middleton’s photography skills were recently acknowledged by Dr. Michael Pritchard, chief executive of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS). Pritchard said that the RPS has recognized Middleton’s talent and enthusiasm in photography and history.
