Prince William Supports Kate Middleton’s Family’s Decision To Reduce Party Pieces Business
Prince William is reportedly supportive of Kate Middleton’s family’s decision to reduce their business.
A source told Page Six that not only is the Duke of Cambridge supportive of his in-laws’ decision, but he has also admired them due to the fact that they are self-made.
Party Pieces is a British party supplies business that provides personalized or ready-made items perfect for different types of occasions. The business is owned by Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton. Party Pieces has also been supplying party decorations and several other things for the past 30 years.
“From decorations to tableware, to those little party accessories that make all the difference, we make it easy to plan your perfect party. Our store is filled with hundreds of stylish and fashionable party themes to pick from, from kids birthday trends that’ll get the little ones giggling all day, to elegant wedding supplies that’ll make your big day exceptional,” Party Pieces’ official website read.
The Duchess of Cambridge previously worked for her parents’ business by starting the first birthday side of Party Pieces. But since she joined the royal family, she has not been linked to Middleton business.
Last week, it was revealed that the Middletons have decided to cut their staff into half because the business is in trouble. One of the workers told The Sun that they were surprised to have learned that their jobs were on the line.
“There is a terrible air of doom and gloom about the place… Despite it being a party company, there wasn’t so much as a Christmas tree or festive decorations in the office… Morale is at rock bottom,” the source said.
As of late, the Middletons have not yet confirmed or denied the rumors regarding the fall out of Party Pieces. But last year, Carole gave her first interview regarding the business. This move was regarded as her way of drumming up much-needed interest and encouraging potential investors to consider working with her.
