Kate Middleton Looked Stunning In Princess Diana’s Jewelry During These Royal Engagements
Kate Middleton seems to look even more stunning than usual whenever she wears Princess Diana’s jewelry.
Just recently, she wore the late Princess of Wales’ diamond and south sea pearl earrings to the BAFTAs. Princess Diana was also photographed wearing the same accessories several years ago.
Princess Diana was gifted with a suite of jewels by Crown Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia. In 2010, Prince William gave the earrings from the collection to Middleton when he proposed to her. But prior to giving it to the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William had the style of the earrings updated to make it look even more beautiful.
Prince William also gave Middleton his mom’s famous piece of jewelry known as the sapphire engagement ring. The accessory was created by British jeweler Garrard and was given to Princess Diana by Prince Charles when he proposed to her in 1981.
In 1988, Princess Diana was photographed wearing a pearl bracelet designed by Nigel Milne. In 2017, Middleton debuted the exact same bracelet during her royal tour of Germany.
The Duchess of Cambridge has also worn the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara, which was another favorite of Princess Diana back in the day, according to Town & Country. Following her death on Aug. 31, 1997, the tiara was not seen again until Middleton wore it in 2015.
Princess Diana’s four-string pearl choker went straight to Queen Elizabeth’s jewelry collection after her death. The piece was lent to Middleton when she attended the Queen and Prince Philip’s 70th wedding anniversary celebration in 2017.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’ mom have also worn the Collingwood pearl earrings that were owned by Princess Diana. The Princess of Wales wore them for the first time one month before her wedding to Prince Charles. Middleton wore it for a Spanish state banquet two years ago.
Unfortunately for Middleton, she never had the chance to meet Princess Diana. But she remains connected to her mother-in-law through her stunning pieces of jewelry.
