Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle Feud Rumors Just Won’t Quit
The announcement that Meghan Markle will be joining Britain’s royal family has resulted in numerous reports suggesting a feud between Prince Harry’s fiancée and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. None of them, however, have been proven due. The same can be said about the latest batch of rumors.
Though Catherine, who is also known as Kate Middleton to fans of the royal family, has only shared kind remarks about her future sister-in-law, a report from Star Magazine has suggested the duchess recently stopped the former “Suits” actress from sending Queen Elizabeth II a present.
The tabloid claimed Markle baked muffins for the reigning monarch, whom she met prior to the engagement, but that Middleton stopped her from delivering them. “She told Meghan that ‘the queen likes what she likes, made to her exact specifications… so if I were you, I just wouldn’t,’” an unnamed “insider” told the magazine.
“It’s completely made-up,” Gossip Cop blasted of the magazine’s claims on Thursday. The site checked with a source close to Markle who shared she “never made black tea muffins for the queen” and called the entire report involving Middleton “nonsense.”
Middleton and Markle were last said to be at odds earlier this week, with Celebrity Insider reporting the Duchess of Cambridge may be having trouble coping with “Meghan mania” following the American TV star’s engagement to Prince Harry. That report was also shut down.
Middleton has had nothing but kind things to say about her future in-law, as has her husband, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
“William and I are absolutely thrilled. It’s such exciting news,” Middleton happily told reporters during a solo royal visit in London just days after the engagement was revealed. “It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”
Prince Harry and Markle are due to wed in May, shortly after Prince William and Catherine welcome their third child.
