Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle’s Wimbledon Outing A ‘Masterful PR Exercise,’ Expert Says
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s Wimbledon outing was dubbed as a masterful PR exercise by a royal expert.
While speaking with the “Morning Show,” royal expert Angela Mollard said that the Duchess of Cambridge took the lead at the sports event. Middleton and Markle’s outing also had the mom of three’s stamp written all over it.
“They were both there, they were both enjoying the tennis and they obviously had Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa, there. Meghan was sandwiched between them, there’s a lot of shots of them chatting, laughing,” she said.
According to Mollard, Middleton has been doing the right thing. And even though there are rumors regarding an alleged rift between her and Markle, no one really knows the real score between the two Duchesses. The expert thinks that the Duchess of Cambridge is a kind person, who has also been brought up well.
Meanwhile, Mollard’s thoughts coincided with Judi James’ description of Middleton and Markle’s body language at Wimbledon. While speaking with The Sun, the body language expert said that Prince William’s wife acted as a hostess to Markle by making the effort to include her in conversations.
“Sitting Meghan between Kate and Pippa looks like a very active attempt to both host her and include her in a way that hasn’t quite occurred since she married Harry. There is a lot of eye contact between the sisters-in-law here too, which, along with the laughter, should be seen as a sign they want to be seen as friendly together,” James said.
Rumors about Middleton and Markle’s alleged rift started shortly after the latter wed Prince Harry. At that time, reports swirled that the “Suits” alum made Prince George’s mom cry during Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting.
However, a spokesperson for the palace claimed that there is no truth to the reports. Middleton and Markle have also been spotted in public several times, which suggests that they may not really be at odds with each other.
