Kate Middleton, Prince William Paying More For Prince George’s Education Than Charlotte’s
Kate Middleton and Prince William are paying more for Prince George's education than Princess Charlotte's.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s only daughter is set to join Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea in London next week. However, Prince William and Middleton will be spending less for Princess Charlotte when she goes to school and it’s due to a special school policy, The Sun reported.
According to the South London school’s website, fees reduce for every child of the same family. Thus, Prince William and Middleton are paying less for Princess Charlotte’s schooling. If they decided to enroll Prince Louis to the same school, the cost will be drop further.
The fees for reception and year two currently stand at $7,816 per term. However, for the second child the cost goes down to $7,665. The cost will further reduce to $7,039 for the third child and $6,255 for the fourth child.
Prince George is expected to help his younger sister adjust to her new school. Royal expert Penny Junor said that the third in line to the throne will be looking after his little sister.
“Prince George is a very protective and lovely older brother,” Junor said. “I’m sure he’ll look after his little sister and take great pride in showing her the ropes.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to join Princess Charlotte on her first day of school. Kensington Palace is also expected to release a couple of official portraits of Princess Charlotte in her school uniform. The Cambridges did the same for Prince George.
Kensington Palace shared Prince George’s first day of school portrait in 2017. In the snap, little royal looks cool and smart in his school uniform while he holds Prince William’s hand and puts his other hand inside his pocket. However, Middleton was not able to join her husband in dropping Prince George to school because she was expecting Prince Louis and was suffering from extreme morning sickness.
“Kate watched the news from home,” an insider said. “She was desperately sad that she couldn't make it but she is on firm bed rest now until she feels better.”
