Prince Harry didn’t warm up to Kate Middleton immediately unlike Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

Prince Harry was often seen with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge before he dated and married Meghan Markle. Many were convinced that Prince Harry and Middleton shared a close bond. However, it actually took time for Prince Harry to warm up to his sister-in-law.

“She went to dinner several times with the Queen, who liked her, as did Charles and Camilla. Harry, according to one friend, took longer to warm up to her,” Vicky Ward wrote for Vanity Fair.

Middleton was reportedly the opposite of Prince Harry’s blonde Zimbabwean girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Middleton dressed up with her demure outfit while Chelsy was dressed in a far more provocative style. She is not afraid to be photographed with a glass in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

Royal commentator described Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend as an “unmade bed.” He added that the passionate attraction between Davy and Prince Harry fizzled and crackled as if they wanted to rip off their clothes. Eventually, Prince Harry and Middleton became closer.

Prince Harry reportedly considered Middleton “the big sister he never had.” However, at present, the duo have a “difficult” relationship since the fab four are rumored to be feuding.

Prince Harry’s relationship with the Cambridges turned sour when he started dating Markle. The Duke of Sussex didn’t take it well when his big brother advised him to slow down with his romance with Markle because they barely know her. Prince Harry felt that Prince William was trying to destroy his relationship with Markle even before it started.

Meanwhile, according to the Prince of Wales’ former aide, Prince Charles is a “laissez-faire father.” He liked Middleton but didn’t want to intervene when she was in an awkward spot while dating Prince William. He didn’t provide any training or guidance on how Middleton should behave in public.

Middleton was in a difficult situation when she was still dating Prince William because she became a celebrity in terms of popularity. However, she was not entitled to the royal benefits paid by taxpayers including security and spokesperson.
