Kate Middleton, Princess Diana and Meghan Markle have all been spotted wearing tartan at some point. But who rocked it best?

The royal family holds a special place in their hearts for Scotland and its signature tartans! The Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex have worn tartans multiple times and they look great at it.

Photos of Middleton, Princess Diana and Markle all wearing tartans are shared on Instagram and netizens discuss who look best for them.

Markle’s photograph was taken when she made her first appearance in Scotland months before her royal wedding to Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex wore a gorgeous long tartan coat, black Veronica Beard trousers, black turtleneck by Wolford and accessorized with a Strathberry bag.

Martan’s tartan coat was designed by Burberry and featured a double-breasted style. It was retailed at $2,895.

Meanwhile, Princess Diana loved wearing tartans in the late 80s and early 90s. In the snap, she wears a red and green Catherine Walker coat dress during her trip to Japan. She made a twist by adding a red outline in its sleeve and pockets. Princess Diana paired her outfit with matching red heels and a clutch bag. Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom is stunning in the shot.

On the other hand, Middleton looked festive in her tartan skirt by Emilia Wickstead when she stepped out with Prince William for a Christmas holiday party in 20108. The Duchess of Cambridge’s pleated midi piece features a bright, red, green and white tartan.

Middleton showed off her stylish side by pairing it with a black cardigan by Brora which she cleverly buttoned up and wore like a blouse. She complemented her get up with black heeled boots. Middleton is as beautiful as Markle and Princess Diana in her tartan skirt.
