Kate Middleton Slammed For Wearing This Controversial Item: ‘It’s Awful‘
Kate Middleton is in hot water due to her choice of hats.
People shared snaps of the Duchess of Cambridge’s best winter wear, which included puffy jackets and fur hats. Middleton looked gorgeous in her wardrobe, but a number of animal advocates weren’t happy about her millinery.
“I wish she wouldn’t wear fur. It’s awful,” Alyssa C commented on the post.
Another user accused Middleton of supporting animal cruelty by wearing this type of hats. “So Kate Middleton believes in and supports torture of sentient living feeling beings to dress her body in their skin? FUR BLEEDS,” Lee Ann Morison wrote.
"Shame on you Kate ! FUR IS DEAD," another netizen wrote.
This isn’t the first time Middleton has worn fur. Back in 2018, Prince William and Middleton enjoyed a royal tour in Sweden and Norway. During their trip, they visited a hockey team, and the duchess was photographed wearing cute bobble hats to keep her warm from the cold.
Some were impressed with her hat so they searched for it and ended up becoming furious after learning that Middleton’s hat was from Harvey Nichols, which uses 100 percent Arctic fox fur. Initially, Kensington Palace said that the bobble was faux fur, but one netizen shared a screenshot of the product from the website on Twitter and insisted that the palace lied.
Another netizen said that she hated Middleton for wearing fur. She described the Duchess of Cambridge’s choice as both “disgusting and inexcusable.”
At the time, some netizens defended Middleton for her choice of hats. One fan said to leave the royal mom of three alone. Another netizen encouraged the others to move on about the issue instead.
In related news, a number of netizens discussed Middleton’s role in the palace as it has been 8 years since she joined them. They were disappointed because unlike her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, Middleton has not done as much. One netizen even dubbed her as the “duchess do little.”
Another netizen said that Middleton is not at the level she expects her to be at after eight years while adding that Prince William’s wife was “forever stuck at year 1.”
