Kate Middleton vs. Meghan Markle: People Favor Duchess Of Cambridge, See Evidence
The public finds Kate Middleton’s mistakes more tolerable than Meghan Markle’s.
Prince William and Prince Harry’s wives have been pitted by the media against each other from their fashion style to their charities including their effect on the market dubbed as Meghan Effect and Kate Effect. Unfortunately for Markle, there’s reportedly no way for her to win this war with her sister-in-law because the people find Middleton’s flaws more tolerable even if she also made the same mistakes Markle did.
For instance, Markle’s mini-tuxedo when she and Prince Harry watched the special West End performance of “Hamilton” was branded “inappropriate” and “cheap.” Some even joked that Markle left home and forgot her skirt.
However, Middleton has been actually wearing above-the-knee dresses, too. But unlike Markle, the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t get the same harsh reactions.
In addition, Markle always made headlines when she hugs any person from the public. A number would claim that the Duchess of Sussex broke a royal protocol for doing so. But, just like Markle, Middleton has been seen hugging and giving high fives in public.
Last year, the Duchess of Cambridge met the midwife who helped her deliver Princess Charlotte during her visit to Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists in London. When Middleton saw Jacqueline Dunkley-Ben, she hugged her.
Middleton also broke several protocols when she returned from her 6-month maternity leave. When Middleton visited St. Augustine's CE Primary School in Kilburn in London, she was photographed embracing the children. Just like Markle, she was also seen shutting her car door and was spotted wearing pants on the said outing. But, royal fans didn’t slam the Duchess of Cambridge the way they do with the Duchess of Sussex.
In addition, Markle will never be a queen consort like Middleton. The people also prefer the Duchess of Cambridge because she is British.
“You have to remember that when people join the royal household, they ultimately expect to be serving Queen and country, not necessarily an American actress who has starred in a legal drama on the telly,” a source told the Telegraph.
