Kate Middleton, William’s Snap Gazing At Each Other Among Royal Photographer’s Favorites

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s snap gazing at each other was among the royal photographer’s favorite pictures.

Veteran photographer Tim Rooke has shared his favorite shots of the members of the royal family throughout 2019. His selections include the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duchess of Sussex, and the monarch herself, Daily Mail reported.

Among the photos featured was a snap of Prince William and Middleton gazing into each other’s eyes during their visit to Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan in October. He explained that photographs at mosques are striking because they are among the rare times when the royals are seen wearing head scarves and without shoes.

“I was trying to position myself opposite the door as I wanted to get a clean photo of the two of them with the dark background, so I was lucky they stopped here for the photo!” Rooke said on how he captured the perfect shot.

The veteran photographer was also very proud when he captured Markle’s entrance at the University of Johannesburg during a solo engagement in South Africa. In the photo, Prince Harry’s wife is naturally illuminated by the sunshine.

“This photo is one of my particular favourites because of the lighting. You'd think she'd been lit in this, but it's all natural and results in a really eye-catching image,” Rooke explained.

Markle is wearing a $170 Banana Republic outfit in the snap. It was an exact replica of the Grace Wales Boner designer dress she wore when she and Prince Harry introduced baby Archie to the world back in May.

While Rooke captured his favorite shot of Markle on the said outing, some weren’t impressed with the duchess’ outfit at the time. In fact, several considered it Markle’s worst look in her South Africa trip.

One said that Markle looked plump and dumpy in her dress. While the duchess is not fat, she looks heavier than she is due to the length and design of the dress.

Rooke’s third favorite photo featured the Queen wearing an orange outfit with a big smile on her face. He said that he loves it because it’s easy to capture the Queen looking serious, so he is always pleased when he captures the rare smile of the Queen.
