Kate Middleton’s Parents Carole, Michael Had Huge Impact On Prince William Relationship

Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, had a huge impact on her relationship with Prince William.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been married for eight years already. However, their courtship lasted for almost 10 years.

Prince William was adamant to marry Middleton because he witnessed his parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s unhappy marriage. He knew that his father was pressured into marrying his mom. Thus, he apparrently wanted to take his time before he popped the big question to Middleton.

Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael, reportedly played a huge role in helping Prince William realize that Middleton was the lifetime partner he wanted.

In the documentary “William and Harry: Brothers In Arms,” Ashley Pearson shared Prince William’s relationship to Middleotn’s parents. According to her, the future king was very close to his in-laws.

“He would lie on the couch with his head in the lap of Mrs Middleton. Or he would sit after dinner and talk for hours with Mr Middleton,” Pearson said.

A royal insider also told her that Prince William fell in love with Middleton because of her family and her close relationship with her siblings and parents. Prince William fell in love with Middleton and her family.

“He loved the way Kate was very friendly and playful with her brother James or her sister Pippa,” Pearson added. “Feeling part of that close, tight-knit, very British family was the first time in his life that he’d had that experience and for William it was entirely intoxicating.”

Despite the long courtship, their relationship wasn’t smooth sailing. Middleton reportedly banned Prince William from seeing his ex-girlfriend Jecca Craig. The Duke of Cambridge had a brief romance with Jecca and when he told Middleton that he wanted to fly to Africa to support her charity, the Duchess of Cambridge turned down the idea. According to an insider, Middleton had a reason to be worried because Jecca is a “knockout.”
