Katie Holmes is embracing her single status following her split with Emilio Vitolo Jr. The former couple broke up in May after less than a year of dating, but the actress’ career, 15-year-old daughter, and personal life have been keeping her busy.

Since her break up with Vitolo, Holmes has reportedly been trying her hand at romance but hasn’t found a relationship worth pursuing just yet.

“Katie has been going on a few very low-key dates but nothing serious right now,” a source told Us Weekly.

The insider revealed the 42-year-old is “not focused on her dating life and not searching for love.”

A different source told E! News Holmes is going with the flow following her latest break up. “Dating is not a huge priority for her,” the insider explained. “She has a full plate with work and Suri.”

However, she won’t shy away from a connection. “If it happens, it happens. If not, that’s OK, too,” a source said.

Between Holmes’ acting career and being “very involved” in raising her teenage daughter Suri, she has a pretty packed schedule.

“Katie is happy living her life privately, working and taking care of her daughter,” the source shared. “She’s starting a movie soon called ‘Rare Objects.’”

While Holmes “enjoyed being with someone and would like to find that again,” finding a new relationship after her split with Vitolo is “not something she’s spending a ton of time working on.”

Holmes and Vitolo’s split earlier this year was amicable, according to those close to the former couple. “There’s no drama that went down with the breakup,” an insider said following the break up.

“Katie and Emilio really enjoyed their time together — it just simply didn’t work out.”

Despite ending their relationship, Vitolo and Holmes have remained friends.
