Katie Holmes Spends Quality Time With Suri Following Emilio Vitolo Jr. Split

Katie Holmes was seen having some quality time with her 15-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, in the streets of New York City after her split from celebrity chef Emilio Vitolo Jr.

The “Batman Begins” star looked stunning in a denim jumpsuit and white T-shirt. Holmes, 42, opted to wear light makeup and completed her look with a pair of white loafers.

On the other hand, Suri donned a knit tank top and dark denim jeans. She sported a pair of Converse sneakers while rocking girlish braids.

In a previous interview, Holmes said that her alone time with Suri is important to her. In fact, even if she and Vitolo had been inseparable, the “First Daughter” star ensured that she and her daughter continued to have a lot of quality time together.

The actress and her daughter were spotted together more than a week after Holmes ended her relationship with Vitolo.

A spokesperson for Holmes told Us Weekly that the actress and the 33-year-old restaurateur parted ways amicably but they remain friends.

“Their relationship fizzled. They figured out they’re better off as friends. There’s no drama that went down with the breakup and in fact, they’re still friends,” an unnamed source told the entertainment publication. “Katie and Emilio really enjoyed their time together — it just simply didn’t work out. She’s focusing on being a mom and her upcoming projects,” the source went on.

People had also confirmed the breakup. “They split several weeks ago. There was no drama. It was amazing while it lasted, but they are at very different places in life. Emilio has no hard feelings. His life is in NYC. Katie can't wait to get back to work and to travel again,” an insider said.

In April, Holmes and Vitolo were reported taking some space from each other. The pair, according to reports, realized that their schedules and commitments did not connect.

“He works in New York in the restaurant business and she’s obviously a busy actress who just was away for some time filming,” the insider stated.

Holmes and Vitolo were first linked in September 2020 when they were snapped together in the Big Apple. They made their relationship Instagram official in December when the restaurateur shared a black-and-white photo of them laughing together in honor of the actress' 42nd birthday.
