Katy Perry And John Mayer Relationship Update: Couple Tries Romance For Third Time

Katy Perry and John Mayer are giving love a third try after breaking up for the second time back in March. But this time, they are reportedly taking things slow. “They are just hanging out. They are not putting a label on it,” a source tells the Daily News.

The artists were most recently seen over the Memorial Day weekend enjoying a dinner date together.

Back in March, Mayer, 35, hinted at why he and Perry, 28, broke up for the second time on "Ellen.”

Mayer is known for talking about his past loves, such as Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift, and their sex lives. Yet, he was more private about his relationship with Perry, telling comedian Ellen DeGeneres, “It was a very private relationship going in, it was a private relationship during, and it’s a very private relationship still.

"I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I’ve given, but I finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and another,” he continued. “Coupling is a tricky thing.”

Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand. They finalized their divorce in 2012.

Back in October, things seemed to be getting serious between Mayer and Perry after she brought him to to her Christian minister parents for the holidays. Only time will tell if their love lasts this time around.
