Katy Perry seems to be eager to end her feud with Taylor Swift as the “Roar” singer has now forgiven and apologized to the “Shake It Off” songstress. Are the two musicians good friends again?

On Saturday, Perry tried to put an end to her beef with Swift that started back in 2014. The “Dark Horse” singer forgave and said she was sorry to the “Bad Blood” singer because she no longer wanted to be tied to their feuding. In her apology, she also praised Swift and said she wants to work with her in the future.

“I forgive her, and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her, and I think it’s actually... I think it’s time,” Perry said in an interview shared on Twitter. “I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and like, I think that if we both, her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go, like, ‘Yeah, we can do this.’”

Perry recognized that there were more serious and bigger problems going on the world. After putting an end to their long-running feud that has been going on for years, the “Chained to the Rythm” singer said she hopes to find herself “in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion” with Swift, as per Toronto Sun. “God bless her on her journey,” Perry added. “I want to operate in a positive, kind space. I want to be an example of kindness, compassion, love, and I forgive and forget.”

The “Firework” singer admitted that forgiving and moving on had not been easy for her. However, she wanted to let go and hoped for the best for every person she knew.

Perry and Swift’s feud started in 2014 when Swift told The Rolling Stone (via Cosmopolitan) that she was not sure about her friendship with Perry. The “Blank Space” singer added that the Perry did something horrible to her.

“She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it,” Swift said. “I know people will make it this big girl-fight thing. But I just want people to know it’s not about a guy.”

Swift thought that Perry sabotaged her Red Tour concert when “The One That Got Away” singer hired three of her backup dancers. It was later revealed that the dancers whom Swift hired in 2012 were originally from Perry.
