'The Killing' Rosie Larsen Actress, Katie Findlay, Takes On Mysterious New Role In 'How To Get Away With Murder'
The Internet has had a lot of fun with actor Sean Bean’s (“Game of Thrones”) apparent inability to survive to the end of any television show or movie that he appears in, routinely falling victim to early character deaths. Well, Sean Bean is not the only actor who seems destined to fall into the same plot trappings wherever they go. Katie Findlay, who played Rosie Larsen, the girl murdered in Season 1 of “The Killing” (which was the basis for the whole show), is involved in yet another mysteriously unsolved murder case in her new role on ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder.” However, this time around she might actually be the murderer.
Fans will remember that in AMC's “The Killing,” Findlay’s Rosie went missing in the 2011 premiere, and was found dead in the second episode of the series. The Rosie Larsen case was the predominant plot point for the series’ first two seasons, with multiple twists and incorrect arrests. It was eventually discovered that Terry (Jamie Anne Allman), Rosie’s aunt, drove a car into the water with Rosie in the trunk, drowning her, on orders from her corrupt, real estate mogul boyfriend, Ames (Barclay Hope).
In “How to Get Away With Murder,” Findlay plays Rebecca, the neighbor of the series’ protagonist, Wes (Alfred Enoch). She first appears in the premiere when Wes knocks on her door to ask her to turn down her music so he can study. Later, Wes hears a commotion coming from her room and finds a boy (who he assumed to be her boyfriend), Griffin (Lenny Platt), storming out of the room where a fight had clearly taken place between the two. It is later revealed that Griffin is really the boyfriend of Lila (Megan West), who had been missing for most of the premiere and turned up dead at the end.
Is Rebecca involved? Could that be why she was fighting with Griffin? Fans will have to keep watching to find out, but it looks like Katie Findlay is smack in the middle of yet another unsolved murder. “How to Get Away With Murder” airs on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
