Kim Kardashian Corrects Ellen DeGeneres After Host Calls Son Psalm's Gold Chain 'Fake'
KEY POINTS
- Kim Kardashian recently appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
- The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star explained that her son Psalm's chain necklace was not fake
- She revealed that her four children with estranged husband Kanye West have polarized personalities
Kim Kardashian corrected Ellen DeGeneres over a comment about the reality star's 2-year-old, Psalm West.
During a recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the host showed photos of Kardashian's children, including one of Psalm wearing a massive gold chain around his neck. However, the 40-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star set the record straight when DeGeneres assumed that the 2-year-old boy wore costume jewelry.
"Psalm was the one wearing the giant chain around his neck," DeGeneres was quoted by Page Six as saying. "He wears this fake giant chain…"
"Wait, did you say fake?" the Skims founder quipped. "It’s not!"
"Oh my God, it’s huge! How can he keep his head up?" the 63-year-old host added. "It looks like it’s a wrestler’s belt or something. I just assumed because it’s so huge, that’s hilarious."
"Yeah, no," Kardashian replied.
During her appearance on the talk show, Kardashian also spoke about her children's polarized personalities. The reality star shares four kids with estranged husband Kanye West — North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm.
According to the celebrity mom, her youngest, Psalm, is "really into Paw Patrol and cars." Her eldest child, North, is "a total goth girl" who listens to Black Sabbath and wears fake tattoos. Meanwhile, her eldest son, Saint, is a "tech wiz" who loves video games, and her youngest daughter, Chicago, loves "everything princess."
Despite their different personalities, they all have something in common — they have gold necklaces with their names written in gothic font. Psalm paired his with the looping chain that caused a stir.
Kardashian and West announced their separation in January, and she officially filed for divorce the following month. However, the exes remain amicable and have been co-parenting their four kids "successfully."
"Kanye and [Kardashian] have been co-parenting successfully and both of them want what's best for the kids," an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight, adding that their children are "doing great."
"Kim has always been a really hands-on mom," the source continued. "She does a great job at balancing and spending time with them, even with work being so busy for her. Family time is and always will be a huge priority to her."
The "Gold Digger" rapper reportedly wanted Kardashian back, another source recently told ET. According to the insider, he has been trying to win her over in recent weeks, and she is "considering her options."
"Kim and Kanye have a deep love for each other and many amazing memories and it's difficult to just let that all go. Kim's main focus and concern are her children and doing what is best for them and their family," the source said.
