Kim Kardashian Reveals More Paris Robbery Details: ‘They Tied Me Up, Taped My Mouth And My Legs’
It has been several months since “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian suffered from a terrifying $10 million robbery in Paris, but it is only now that details of her reported police statement made its way to the news.
The French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche shared it on Sunday, according to Us Magazine. “I heard a noise at the door, like, footsteps, and I shouted to ask who was there, but no one answered,” Kardashian told the police. “I called my bodyguard at 2:56 a.m. Then, beyond the sliding doors, I saw two people arrive with the gentleman from reception, and he was tied up. Both men were hooded, one had a ski mask and he had a cap and a jacket with ‘police’ on it. The second man had the same ‘police’ clothes, but did not have any ski mask. It was the one with the ski mask who stayed with me.”
Kardashian said one of the burglars had a strong French accent and demanded for her ring in English. Then he looked at what was on her bedside table, which was worth around $4 million.
“He took out a gun and I showed him the ring. He had gloves. He asked me where the jewels and the money were,” she continued. “And at that point, they tied me up and put plastic cables and scotch tape on my hands, and then taped my mouth and my legs.”
Earlier, police arrested a 72-year-old gangster and three women after DNA was taken from a diamond-studded pendant that was dropped by a member of the gang on the scene of the crime, according to The Telegraph.
Police have detained her chauffeur, Michael Madar, as well and tried to determine if he reportedly passed on information of her whereabouts to the gang. However, he was subsequently released without any charges.
