- The distance and their busy schedules reportedly made their relationship difficult to maintain
Kim Kardashian reportedly still hopes to find someone to spend the rest of her life with following her split from Pete Davidson.
Days after news broke that Kardashian and Davidson had called it quits, an anonymous source told Us Weekly that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum still wants to get married again.
"Kim wants to get married again and Pete wants to have kids — none of that has changed," the insider claimed. "It just wasn't meant for it to be with each other."
Kardashian and Davidson met in October 2021 when she made her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live." The comedian was the Skims mogul's first public relationship since filing for divorce from estranged husband Kanye West in February last year.
After nine months of dating, however, Kardashian and Davidson decided to part ways amicably last week.
"There truly wasn't drama between them when they decided to separate," another source told Us Weekly. "It was something they talked through; it wasn't a sudden breakup. They each have busy schedules and the distance made it hard. Kim travels a ton and it was hard for Pete to keep up, especially with his filming schedule."
The source added, "They had a lot of fun together and they can look back with fond memories."
In addition to their busy schedules, the 41-year-old reality star and the 28-year-old comedian's age gap reportedly also contributed to the split, with an insider telling Page Six that they were "just in different places at the moment."
"Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment's notice," the unnamed source told the outlet. "But Kim has four kids, and it isn't that easy. She needs to focus on the kids."
During their nine-month relationship, Davidson met Kardashian's four kids with West — North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. The actor revealed last month that he wants to have kids of his own too.
"[I'm] definitely a family guy," he told Kevin Hart on "Hart to Heart." "My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid. That's like my dream."
Meanwhile, West wasted no time mocking Davidson on social media after news of the actor's split from Kardashian made headlines.
The "Donda" artist took to Instagram to share a faux New York Times front page with a headline that read: "Skete Davidson Dead at Age 28." It included a subheadline that took a dig at Kid Cudi, whose friendship with Davidson led to his falling-out with the "Gold Digger" rapper.
"Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers," the subheadline read, referencing Cudi storming off the stage at last month's Rolling Loud festival after fans threw objects at him.
The "King of Staten Island" star has been in trauma therapy since April due to West's online harassment, People reported this week.
"The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he's had to seek out help," an anonymous source told the outlet.
However, Davidson had no regrets about dating the "Kardashians" star, who had "been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship," according to the insider.
