Kourtney Kardashian-Scott Disick Update: Parenting 3 Kids Alone Is 'Overwhelming' Her, Source Says
“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star Kourtney Kardashian was forced to become a single mother after she broke up with Scott Disick, the father of their three children. Although the oldest Kardashian sister indicated that leaving her longtime boyfriend would be best for her children in the long run, the socialite is “overwhelmed” as she “parents alone,” Radar Online wrote in an exclusive report Friday.
A “Keeping Up: Kardashian Rewind” episode on the E network Sunday showed her in tears as she made the decision to break up with the self-proclaimed Lord Disick after one of his many benders. “I’ve worked so hard to keep this family together,” she said through her tears.
Even though Disick didn’t provide much parenting assistance while they were together, it’s not easy for her to care for their children -- Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 11 months -- with him completely out of the picture. “When Scott was living [at their house], he definitely was a help, and now that he isn't there, she shoulders all the responsibility,” an insider told Radar Online. “Kourtney is a great mom, but she is the only parent in the picture right now, and it is a lot of work to take care of them all and still film the show and deal with their appointments.”
Disick, 32, went to an addiction-rehabilitation center last month. But he’s no stranger to treatment. The New York native has frequently sought help at rehab centers and then fled days later.
Despite Disick’s demons, Kardashian, 36, still loves him and wishes things were different. “She was happy when she lived with Scott because he took care of the kids. When he is there, he is a great parent, there is no doubt about that,” an insider told Radar Online. “Kourtney misses the way things were before.”
To find out more about how the mother-of-three is coping after the split, don’t miss Season 11 of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” when it premieres on the E network Sunday, Nov. 15, at 9 p.m. EST.
