Kourtney Kardashian’s Ex Scott Disick, Sofia Richie Still Together Following Dad’s Disapproval

Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have not been shy about flaunting their romance for all to see despite continuous disapproval. Although there have been rumors that their relationship was starting to fizzle, the couple proved that they are still going strong regardless of the criticism.

The two reunited on Friday for dinner at celebrity hotspot Nobu in California. Richie was previously in London for a photoshoot, where she was announced as the new ambassador for Nip + Fab.

In the past, the 19-year-old model has said that her famous father, Lionel Richie, approves of her relationship with Disick. However, the singer’s behavior has suggested otherwise.

While attending the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Patron of the Artists Awards alongside her father, Richie told E! News that her dad is content with her choice of companion.

“He’s good. He’s been very nice. He’s been very cool. He’s very supportive,” the model said, as her father made a hand gesture that looked as if he was pointing a gun at his head and pulling the trigger.

That wasn’t the first time the “All Night Long” singer expressed his disapproval for Disick. During an interview with Us Weekly, Richie shared his concern for his daughter’s romance with the 34-year-old father-of-three.

“I’m scared to death, are you kidding me?” he told the publication.

“Have I been in shock?! I’m the dad, come on,” he added.

Despite his concern, the model has been taking her new relationship very seriously. However, the same can’t be said about her boyfriend. “From Scott’s side, it’s not serious. From Sofia’s side it is,” a source previously told E! News.

Although the two don’t seem to be on the same page when it comes to their relationship, Disick, who previously dated Kourtney Kardashian, does feel strongly about Richie.

“Scott likes her company because she is mature for her age and doesn’t party much,” an insider told the media outlet.

“She has actually been really good for him. They have traveled a lot, but they also do normal things like get coffee or go shopping. They are mellow together and just really enjoy being low key. He has spoiled her by taking her on a few amazing trips and she has loved that.”

Disick, who is known for his wild behavior and hard partying, seems to have turned over a new leaf since beginning his relationship with Richie. However, the star has a history of slipping back into his old ways.

Only time will tell if this is simply a phase or if the star has finally made a change in his life for the better.
