Kris Jenner rushed to daughter Kendall Jenner’s defense after the model was slammed for throwing a massive Halloween party amid the pandemic.
The momager talked about the controversial bash — which doubled as a 25th birthday celebration for Kendall and was attended by an estimated 100 people — when she appeared on “Andy Cohen Live” Monday. Kris acknowledged that their family is “very lucky” to be in an industry where they can get tested once or twice a week, pertaining to filming “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
She also told host Andy Cohen that they get tested “whenever we have a gathering,” regardless of whether it is a small or large one.
“At Kendall's, everyone got tested before they walked in the door and they had to wait a half an hour until ... the results were in. So we are really responsible, and we make sure that everyone in our family and our closest friends are tested religiously,” Kris explained.
“We do what we can. We try to follow the rules. And then, if people are commenting and they're being critical, I can't control that. I just can control how we behave, and I try to do the best we can,” the 64-year-old said.
The host also asked Kris how she handles negative comments aimed at her children.
“We live our lives, trying to be just really good people. We're dealing with lots of people that have different opinions, and all we can do is live our lives the best way we know how and be responsible and do the right thing. And we're doing that," Kris said.
Kendall threw a massive party on Saturday in West Hollywood that was attended by tons of big names, including rumored boyfriend Devin Booker, Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, among many others, Us Weekly reported.
One unnamed source claimed that Kendall saw the backlash coming and asked attendees not to post about it. Despite her request, photos and videos of the bash still emerged on social media, leaving fans and followers disappointed with the model.
This comes just a few days after Kim Kardashian also received flak for flying her family and closest friends to a private island for her 40th birthday despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
