Kris Jenner Has Officially Met Caitlyn Jenner; Will Their Emotional Encounter Be Filmed For ‘I Am Cait’?
Kris Jenner finally met Caitlyn Jenner in person, leaving many wondering whether their introduction was filmed for reality TV. Prior to Caitlyn's transition, she and Kris were married for nearly two decades. The pair officially split in December 2014, according to TMZ and, although they claimed they would remain close, the former Olympian found that she had become far removed from her family.
Now, Kris, 59, seems to have followed in the footsteps of her children and decided to meet Caitlyn face-to-face. According to E! Online, the former spouses met at Caitlyn's Malibu home. The Kardashian matriarch is said to be the last member of the family to be introduced to Caitlyn. It remains unclear whether or not the encounter was filmed for the 65-year-old's E! reality series, "I Am Cait."
Several other members of the family have had their first encounters with Caitlyn filmed for her hit docuseries. The first of which was her youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner. The 17-year-old's initial meeting took place over FaceTime, but she later decided to pop into Caitlyn's home for the real deal. Big sister Kim Kardashian-West also surprised Caitlyn with a visit and husband Kanye West was in-tow. While Kim couldn't stop gushing over how thin and pretty Caitlyn was and Kanye praised her for making the difficult decision to live as her true self.
Although Kris only just met post-transition Caitlyn she has been an outspoken supporter of the transgender celebrity. On July 17, just two days after the athlete turned reality star accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYS, Kris spoke out about her "amazing" speech. She commended Caitlyn for being "very brave" and added that she thought "she looked beautiful." Prior to those comments, Kris addressed Caitlyn's coming out on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. On June 29, Kris told Extra she found Caitlyn's cover to be "truly inspirational."
