Kristen Bell Says She Likes To 'Wait For The Stink' Before Bathing Her Children
Kristen Bell has shared her thoughts about how often children should be bathed. According to the actress, she likes to "wait for the stink" before bathing her kids.
Bell and her husband Dax Shepard appeared on "The View" Tuesday to promote their upcoming show, "Family Game Fight," which is set to air on NBC starting Aug. 8. During their guesting, Bell and Shepard talked about their children's bathing routine and expressed support for Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher whose comment about not bathing their kids daily went viral recently.
"We bathed our children every single night prior to bed as their routine, then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without their routine and we had to start saying [to each other] like, 'Hey, when was the last time you bathed them?'" Shepard, 46, said as per People.
Bell, 41, agreed with her husband and said, "Yeah, we'd forget."
"I'm a big fan of waiting for the stink," Bell continued. "Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up. There's a red flag. Honestly, it's just bacteria; once you get bacteria you gotta be like, 'Get in the tub or the shower.' So I don't hate what [Kunis and Kutcher] are doing. I wait for the stink."
Fans took to the comments section of their guesting's YouTube video to share their reactions to the couple's remarks.
One of the fans wrote, "I love them so much. You can tell they genuinely like each other as friends first. Its so beautiful." Another one wrote, "Apparently bathroom habits are not too personal for Me Again to talk about. 3 more days and counting."
It wasn't the first time Bell shared bathroom-related information within her household. Earlier this week, she shared a funny video in which her husband busted her for leaving used tissue paper on the toilet seat. The couple recorded their entire conversation and Bell shared it on her Instagram.
"I got busted by @daxshepard," she wrote in the caption. "But Peeing IS a waste of time, and stand by that statement."
Bell and Shapard have two daughters: Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6. The couple tied the knot in 2013.
On the work front, the actress will be seen in a comedy movie, "Queenpins," which will come out on Aug. 26.
Shepard, on the other hand, recently lent his voice to the animated comedy movie, "Paw Patrol: The Movie," which will be released on Aug. 11.
