Kylie Jenner Denies Wanting Darker Skin On Snapchat, Calls Fans ‘Idiots’ Over Wax Figure Insults
Kylie Jenner has a lot of exciting projects coming up, and she isn’t going to let any haters mess it up for her. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star called out fans who accused her of wanting to make her skin darker.
It all started when Jenner posted several videos to her Snapchat story on Wednesday, documenting her experience while getting her wax figure made. The E! reality star explained that she would be joining the long list of celebrities who have wax figures in Madame Tussaud’s museum, including some of her family members.
In her Snapchat stories, Jenner can be seen getting her measurements taken so the wax figure can be an exact replica of her body. The Kylie Cosmetics founder also shared her process in getting her head measured which involved several green dots all over her face.
The controversy started when Jenner shared a photo of different shades of a color palette explaining that the staff was attempting to match her skin tone. However, fans began to take issue with the photo because the shades displayed in Jenner’s photo were darker than her actual skin tone.
After backlash from several fans accusing the reality star of trying to make her statue darker than her actually skin color, the Puma model used her Snapchat to correct the miscommunication.
“I’m not trying to make my wax figure darker than I am,” Jenner said while referring to the people bashing her as idiots.
“They were mixing all those colors on a palette, not me. Stop reaching. I don’t even have say in this, so let’s leave it to the professionals...people,” the star said before ending her video.
Although Jenner said the wax figure will take six months to make, she did not reveal when fans will be able to find her statue in a museum on display.
