Kylie Jenner, Kardashian Sisters Support Kanye West’s Plans For 2020 Presidential Run
During the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday, Kanye announced to the crowd and viewers at home that he was planning to run for president in 2020 during his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech. Now, following his big announcement, some of his in-laws are stepping up in support of the "Stronger" rapper.
After nearly 12 minutes of speaking about creativity, the music business, “new ideas” and “people who believe in truth,” Kanye revealed onstage Sunday night that he was planning to run for the US presidency in the coming years. “And yes, as you probably coulda guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president,” he said before running off the stage. His announcement came after a fan in the audience yelled out “Kanye for president.”
Hours after Kanye, 38, hit the stage at the 2015 VMAs, Kim Kardashian West’s sister Khloé Kardashian shared photo on social media of her brother-in-law sporting a tux and standing in front of an American flag. Below the image read the message: “Mr. West for President.”
Khloé is not the only one supporting Kanye's plans. Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian, who were both present during the show, also touted support for Kanye online Sunday night. Kylie, 18, shared an image of Kanye standing in front of an American flag alongside the caption “Kanye West for President.” Kourtney, 36, shared a photo of herself standing next to Khloé, 31, and Kim, 34, in front of the White House.
