Cordoba is accused of fatally stabbing his 60-year-old mother Maria Rodas and his 6-year-old nephew Alan Cordoba-Robles at their home. He also stabbed his brother, Erick Cordoba, who was there to pick up his son, according to a news release from Los Angeles County district attorney's office. The attack happened after a family dispute, the police said as per ABC7. Cordoba fled the scene after the incident. He was arrested after a week-long manhunt.

Julieta Guzman, Rodas' daughter, has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the funeral expenses of Rodas in Guatemala where she was born. "It hurts us a lot that two souls so innocent and full of lives are no longer with us," Julieta wrote on the page. "Maria Rodas, my mother was a woman with such a noble heart that whoever knows her was left with a beautiful impression of her for being so sweet and unique with people."

A GoFundMe page has also been created to solicit funds for the funeral and memorial expenses of Cordoba-Robles. On the said page the child was described as an "amazing loving child" who loved to cook, dance and play Minecraft on his iPad. "He was known to spread positivity and bring greatness where ever he went. He loved being a big brother and helping his mommy with anything she needed," his mother wrote.
