Lamar Odom Car Accident Victim Dies from Injuries: Report

A 15-year-old boy injured in an accident involving a vehicle carrying Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom on Thursday has died.

The New York teen's family confirmed his death and told TMZ that he sustained serious head injuries from the collision. He was taken to a hospital and died the following day after surgery, according to TMZ, which said the boy was buried on Monday.

Odom was in New York last week to attend a funeral service for his cousin when the accident happened.

Both Odom and his wife Khloe Kardashian tweeted their sympathy to the boy's family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the young boy's family, Odom tweeted, hours after thanking his Twitter fans for their support.

Kardashian also wrote: My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong.
