Lamar Odom Hopes To Reconnect With Ex-Wife Khloé Kardashian After Tristan Thompson Paternity Scandal

Lamar Odom just let his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian know that he is always there for her.

Odom, 42, Kardashian, 37, have remained amicable through the years after their divorce. The former NBA player weighed in on Tristan Thompson's paternity testing drama after the latter confirmed that he is the father of Maralee Nichols' baby Monday.

Kardashian's ex-husband commented on a Facebook post where the netizens discussed Thompson's paternity test and public apology to the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star.

"I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I’m hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends," Odom wrote, as shown in the screenshot obtained by Comments By Celebs. "She is a good person and deserves the world."

Several Instagram users shared mixed reactions to Odom's statement. Some wished Odom kept silent on the issue. They preferred Kardashian to never get back with him as well.

"He only apologized because he was caught!" one commented, referring to Thompson's public apology.

"This is the energy we DON’T need in 2022," another wrote, referring to Odom's reaction.

"Ugh they need to both leave her alone," added a third user who did not want Kardashian to get back with either Thompson or Odom.

"But yet they both played this good person lol smh [woman facepalming emoji]. What's wrong with people?!" a fourth user wrote.

Thompson acknowledged his child with Nichols when the DNA results showed that the baby was his. In a post on his Instagram Story, he apologized to Kardashian because Nichols conceived the baby when they were still together. He admitted that he had sex with Nichols on his 30th birthday three months before he and Kardashian split last year.

"You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you," he wrote. "I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

In August, Odom and Thompson reacted to Kardashian's sexy post on Instagram. "Hottie," Odom wrote with a string of emojis, including flames, heart eyes, red hearts and loving faces.

His comment didn't go unnoticed to Thompson who was also trying to get back with Kardashian at the time. "@lamarodom God brought you back the first time. Play if you want, different results," he wrote with shrugging emojis.

Kardashian and Odom were married in 2009. She filed for divorce on Dec. 13, 2013, after months of speculations that they were separating. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
