Lamar Odom Update: Khloé Kardashian To Regularly Visit Estranged Husband During Holiday Season

Amid conflicting reports about former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom's health condition, a report said Tuesday that his estranged wife Khloé Kardashian is set to visit him regularly through the holiday season. The 36-year-old, who suffered a drug overdose in October in a brothel in Las Vegas, is being treated at the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

"The Lamar situation still weighs on Khloé. She's not one who just walks away," a source close to the Kardashians told People magazine. "She's going to be there for him, but she also needs to start focusing back on herself — and she knows that."

Reports speculating about Odom’s improvement have been making the rounds and some have even said that the basketball player has taken his first steps unassisted. However, the People magazine report debunked the claim.

"Lamar's condition remains the same," a source at the hospital told the magazine, adding that Odom is still using a walker.

The source also said, according to People magazine, that Kardashian is eager for 2015 to end, which she earlier called the “worst year” of her life.

"Khloé is so looking forward to this year being over: 2015 was a hard one to say the least," the source said, adding: "She feels like the New Year will bring new things, and she certainly deserves it."

Kardashian had initially canceled her divorce proceedings due to Odom's medical crisis. However, last month she said that the divorce was still going forward.

Kardashian is said to be dating Houston Rockets player James Harden, and has been slammed by Odom’s family, friends, and her brother Rob Kardashian for not giving Odom another chance, according to reports.

During an episode of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” aired Sunday, the 31-year-old reality TV star said: “Everything Lamar is saying is true, I do love Lamar."

“That’s never been a question if we love each other. But Lamar is all talk and no action. For two years I have wanted Lamar to try. For two years I have wanted Lamar to show me some effort but nothing ever changes. It definitely makes me sad because I still believe he is my soul mate but sometimes we lose our soul mates and that’s okay. Right now I have to do what’s best for me,” she added.

Odom also called Kardashian his "soul mate" in August in an interview with In Touch Weekly.

"A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife. She’s [my] soul mate."

"I can’t control it. We’ll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman. To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloé, he’s probably wasting his time," Odom said.
