Lana Del Rey was not happy that her statement about President Donald Trump and the Capitol riot was taken out of context.

Del Rey received intense backlash for saying that Trump wasn't aware he was "inciting riot" at the U.S. Capitol. The "Summertime Sadness" singer stressed that she wasn't defending the POTUS with her statement, so she clarified it in a series of tweets.

"Just to take a moment to say that what I was describing w the bbc was that Trump is so significantly impaired that he may not know what he was doing due to his significant lack of empathy and the wider ranging problem is the issue of sociopathy and narcissism in America," she tweeted.

She also shared a video on Instagram discussing the same issue. She stood her ground about Trump being unaware of his actions due to his lack of empathy.

"When someone is so deeply deficient in empathy, they may not know that they're the bad guy. Don't make the controversy that I don't think that he meant to incite a riot. It's not the point, is what I was saying," she said.

She also didn't hide her disappointment with the media outlets for "taking my well-intentioned and believe it or not liberal comments out of context." She made it clear that she didn't just speak about the issue, she was asked and she only answered. She also encouraged everyone to listen to the full interview.

"I get it — I have something to say and I don't just show up, giggling and talking about my hair and my makeup. I was asked directly political questions for over 40 minutes by the BBC Radio One and I answered them," she said.

Several commented on her video and supported Del Rey. They agreed that narcissists people do not see themselves as the problem.

"That’s true... narcissists never think they’re the problem," one commented on her video on Instagram.

"To the commentors: People with narcissistic personality disorder are not normal logical people who understand consequences. They are like poorly programmed computers and they don[sic] NOT comprehend accountability or reason. They dont follow logic so she aint wrong in her musings," another commented on her post on Twitter.

Del Rey also clapped back at the critics in a tweet by implying how they "incite" her mentally.

"A woman still can’t get mad right? Even when a mob mentality tries to *incite," she wrote.
