Ex-porn star Lana Rhoades’ former boyfriend, Mike Majlak, is opening up about how difficult it was to mix business and his love life.
In the latest episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast, Majlak talked about his breakup with Rhoades, which he also detailed in a separate video on his YouTube channel.
The “Fifth Vital” author revealed that he hadn’t been in a relationship in over 10 years prior to meeting Rhoades and noted that their romance was “highly publicized, a massive integration between love and business, which is just treachery.”
“The amount of times when we should have taken a one-week break to gather our thoughts but couldn’t because we had content to deliver to the ‘Night Shift’ audience,” Majlak said, referring to the series on his YouTube channel in which Rhoades regularly made appearances in the 10 months they dated.
When friend and podcast co-host Logan Paul commented that he had given up doing that, Majlak said that he will not repeat it if he ever finds himself in another relationship in the future.
“This is a learning lesson for me. I do need to do a lot better and I love the idea that I have separated that relationship from the ‘Night Shift’ brand,” Rhoades’ ex-boyfriend noted.
Majlak also maintained that he never wanted to have a couple’s channel. Moreover, the vlogger said the fact that his videos featuring Rhoades garnered much more views than those without her made him forget his initial intentions when he began filming vlogs.
“I lost track of the idea that 1.5 million and 2 million views doing what I want to f-----g do is way more important than 8 million views from people who are coming to see a girl on my channel,” Majlak said.
Despite this, Majlak said that he would never talk bad about Rhoades, whom he described as “an absolutely incredible person.”
The YouTuber also suggested that he is not closing the door on potentially reconciling with Rhoades in the future, explaining that he isn't a “never say never kind of guy.”
Majlak first opened up about the breakup in a video titled “We Broke Up,” where he revealed that the reason for the split was their vast differences in what they wanted in a relationship.
